Homepage of philosopher David Yates

Welcome!

Here you will find some biographical info, a publication list, details of my current research interests, and my contact details. You will also find details of past projects in which I have been involved and their research outputs. If you are interested in collaborating on some future project, want to share a paper with me that you think I need to read, or just want to tell me why I am wrong about everything, feel free to get in touch. Just be aware that (especially if it's the "here's why you're wrong about everything" thing) I may take a while to reply.

The background photo is of Porto looking across the river from Gaia; the photo of me was taken by Ricardo Miguel at ECAP9 in Munich, and captures me deep in philosophical thought.

For some reason the bigger of the two transparent box things became more bigger than the smaller of the two transparent box things at the top than it was at the bottom. (Yes, "more bigger" is a thing: A is more bigger than B than C is than D.) The purpose of this paragraph is to make the top and bottom transparent-box-thing margins roughly same size again. If you are reading and it's after midnight, go to bed immediately. Otherwise, maybe just go for a walk.

Fermentum

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.
